VIP Body Armor’s Warranties and Policies

RETURN POLICY:

We do not accept returns. Please understand that considerable time and workmanship is required for each of our custom jackets/vest. For this reason, we cannot accept returns. At the same time, our client’s satisfaction is very important to us. If you are not satisfied with your purchase for any reason please contact us and return the item within 14 days. For a restocking and tailoring fee of $75 you may choose another item from our selection and we will transfer the armor to it. If the new item you choose is a different price than your original purchase, we will charge or credit your account for the difference.

If you are not fully satisfied with the comfort and fit of your purchase, contact our warranty department immediately. We will make any necessary alterations free for a period of (90) ninety days from receipt of purchase.

THE ESSENTIALS:

IN THE UNITED STATES, IT IS ILLEGAL FOR A CONVICTED VIOLENT FELON TO PURCHASE, POSSES OR WEAR BODY ARMOR.

By purchasing body armor from VIP Body Armor, you are stating you are a law-abiding citizen, of adult age (18 or older), have no felony convictions and have only a lawful purpose for owning body armor.

Exporting Level III and IV armor plates requires a U.S. State Department export permit. There are also some countries that may require a Bureau of Industry & Security export license for Level II-A, Level II and Level III-A Body Armor. It is the sole responsibility of the purchaser to ensure that all transactions conform to applicable laws, codes, and ordinances.

Residents of Connecticut are prohibited from buying Body Armor unless the sale is face to face; the buyer is a police officer, a police department, or military.

Our body armor is certified to be in full compliance with the National Institute of Justice (NIJ) 0101.03/04 standards. All ballistic panels manufactured by VIP Body Armor are free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of five years from date of purchase. All nylon covers carry a three-year warranty from date of purchase. All removable poly-cotton carriers carry an 18-month warranty from date of purchase.

By accepting any of VIP Body Armor’s products, the purchaser accepts all and full responsibility for all aspects of the product and its use including but limited to fit, style, size, body coverage, threat level, ballistic properties, and configuration.

LIMITED WARRANTY

Fortier & Co extends the following limited warranty to the original purchaser of this bullet resistant armor. Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts and/or do not allow for the exclusion or limitation of incidental damages. As to purchases governed by the laws of these states the limitations herein set may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights, which vary from state to state.

This warranty shall apply only if the ballistic protective equipment is used and maintained in accordance with normal use. Any misuse or abuse voids this warranty. This warranty is void if the armor is altered in anyway, or if another company not approved by VIP Body Armor manufactures materials used in conjunction with VIP Body Armor armor.

CONDITIONS

VIP Body Armor will inspect this product for wear and tear at the request of the customer during the life of this warranty. Should VIP Body Armor determine that abnormal wear and tear has occurred it will repair or replace necessary materials at the expense of the customer, which will keep in effect this warranty. Any damage found through normal use will be repaired or replaced free of charge.

Should this equipment prove to be defective during the warranty period, Fortier & Co, at its sole discretion, will repair or replace the defective ballistic panel and/or fabric carrier cover at no costs.

LIMITATIONS

This warranty is void if:

The armor/vest/jacket is altered in any way
If the materials used is conjunction with VIP Body Armor armor/vests/jackets are manufactured by another company not approved by VIP Body Armor
If proper care and washing instructions supplied with the vest are not followed.
If the vest is subjected to abnormal use.
If questions arise pertaining to care or maintenance of this vest, as subject t this warranty, contact VIP Body Armor for specifications.
